Vulnerable rubber is a material that undergoes a chemical process known as vulcanisation. This process involve mixing natural rubber with additives such as sulfur and other curative. Vulcanisation make rubber much stronger, more flexible and more resistant to heat. Vulcanisation rubber makes both soft and hard object, ranging from rubber bands to bowling balls.

Pseudo acids are potentially acidic compounds that require some structural reorganisation such as keto-enol tautomerisation , having non -negligible activation energy in order to show normal acidic properties , ie. nitro-alkanes .

Oxygen atom in ether is sp3 hybridised, therefore C-O-C bond angle should be 109o28'. but it is slightly more than this i.e nearly 110o.

Reason: There are 2 lone pairs of electrons on O atom that must repel each other and should result in bond contraction. but presence of alkyl group on O atom counterbalance the repulsion of lone pair on O atom and bond pair and leads to bond angle greater than tetrahedral angle of 109o28'.

Usually , we refer oxidation state of an atom in a molecule . Since CO  ( Carbon - mono - oxide ) is a molecule in itself ,therefore applying the IUPAC rule for calculating oxidation number  , it has an oxidation state  =   0

The zero oxidation state of  CO is confirmed mathematically  also as per following calculations ,

Since there  is no   per - oxide ( - O - O - ) linkage in the structure of  CO , the oxidation number of O atom in   CO  is  =   -2

The oxidation number of  C in CO  is , therefore ,  =  +2 ,

(because sum of the oxidation number of all the atoms in a molecule = 0 )

Thus  ,  Oxidation number of CO  = ( Oxidation number of  C  +   Oxidation number of  O )

                                                      =   [( +2 )  +  ( -2 )]

                                                      =   0

As per above mechanism  Grignard's reagent ( RMgX)  produces alkanes . It should be noted that Grignard reagent , RMgX , is strongly basic , therefore , it deprotonates water which behaves acidic in this case.

sleep at night by 10:00pm and get up by 5:00am.This will give you some extra time in the morning before school(assuming school is at 7:20).Then, sit down to study by 8:00 pm at the most and study till dinner time(assuming that you come from coaching by 7:40pm).Four to six hours of dedicated studies regularly is enough. Best of luck for boards?

The process of igniting Aluminium and Ferric oxide is called thermite reaction. This is an exothermic reaction. Iron obtained in this process is in molten state.
{tex}Fe_2O_{3(s)} + Al_{ (s)} \to Al_2O_3 + 2Fe_{(l)} + Heat{/tex}

Thermite reaction used for the welding of rails (joining metals) called as thermite welding.

Column chromatography in chemistry is a method used to purify individual chemical compounds from mixtures of compounds. It is often used for preparative applications on scales from micrograms up to kilograms.

This is a solid - liquid technique in which the stationary phase is a solid & mobile phase is a liquid. The principle of column chromatography is based on differential adsorption of substance by the adsorbent.

In amorphous solids the arrangement of particles is irregular in all directions hence the value of any physical property is same along any direction. Hence they are isotropic in nature.

Whereas in crystalline solids the arrangement of constituent particles are regular and have repeated similar arrangement. But the unit cell will have different arrangement of atoms in X, Y, and Z planes. Hence, they are anisotropic in nature.

Although theoretically it is logical  to view a possibility of the existance  of ClF7 simillar to  IF7 , but practically   Cl F7 is unknown and hence  , it does not exist .The following reasons support the non - existance of ClF7 .

  • Steric reasons -  Fitting seven electrons around a Cl atom is sterically impossible due to electron cloud -repulsion of Cl   over F atoms.
  • Difference between atomic sizes -  Both the compounds ( ie. IF7 and ClF7 ) are interhalogen - compounds which are formed when

                 (1)  electronegativity difference between the combining atoms is large

                 (2)  the difference in atomic sizes are great.

The difference in atomic sizes of  Cl and  F  is  is  lesser than that of  I  &  F .  In case of  F their happens to be a much                      greater difference in its atomic sizes when  compared to that of I .So, small F atoms can be easily accomodated around                    iodine atoms to form  IF7 . Thus , IF7  exists , while ClF7  is not known.
