Functions of Opposition party

Acids change the color of blue litmus paper to red.
The word “acid” is derived from the Latin word “acidus” which means tart or sour. Acids are molecules or other species that can donate a proton or accept an electron pair in reactions. All acids change the color of blue litmus paper to red. Acids lose their acidity when combined with alkalis. Generally, the pH value of acids ranges from zero to six.

- In 1236 Sultan Iltutmish’s daughter, Raziyya, became Sultan. The chronicler of the age, Minhaj-i Siraj, recognised that she was more capable and trained than all her brothers.
- But he was not comfortable at having a queen as ruler. Nor were the nobles happy at her attempts to rule independently. She was removed from the throne in 1240.
- Minhaj-i-Siraj wrote that since Raziya did not come under the register of men, but was an able administrator, under what account would God classify her.

China Rose as Indicator
Activity
Collect some China rose (Gudhal ) petals and place them in a beaker. Add some warm water. Keep the mixture for some time till water becomes coloured. Use the coloured water as an indicator. Add five drops of the indicator to each of the solutions.
Answer :
A solution of china rose turns green in a basic solution, and bright pink or magenta in an acidic solution.
