Mean or average or arithmetic mean is one of the representative values of data. We can find the mean of observations by dividing the sum of all the observations by the total number of observations.

Mean of raw data:

If x1, x2, x3, ……. xn are n observations, then
Arithmetic Mean = (x1, x2, x3, ……. xn)/n
= (∑xi)/n

1. Weights of 6 boys in a group are 63, 57, 39, 41, 45, 45. Find the mean weight.

Solution:

Number of observations = 6

Sum of all the observations = 63 + 57 + 39 + 41 + 45 + 45 = 290

Therefore, arithmetic mean = 290/6 = 48.3

Caterpillars are larval forms of insects such as butterfly. Caterpillars shed their skin 3-5 times while they grow and this process is called molting.  Their skin never grows as skin of human does, so while growing they have to crawl out of their skin when their skin becomes too tight. After first molting they bring new skin cover and in the mean time some caterpillars also eat their shed old skin. After  they grow more, then again shed their skin.

In case of humans, shedding of whole skin does not occur as when human body grows, skin cells also grow. Shedding of only dead skin cells occur in case of human beings.

Our society treated very differently girls from the boys... And this is started from later Vedic Age. Some of the following which is done commonly i tell you : 1. Household works are mainly done the girls only because the society think that boys had to study and girls only have to be sit at the corner. 2. In sports , mainly boys participates because the society didn't allow to the girls to play outside they only know that it's the work of boys not of girls.. 3. Dressing : Boys can wear anything which they like but the girls..they only wears full clothes like frocks and pants type even in summer's if they want to wear half pants then the society only and only the society our society didn't allow it or like it.. And if they allow then the stray boys didn't let them free like they follows her tried to touch and more.. 4. Study : The society admitted the boys in a higher school , popular school and best school even their boys didn't study there.. even their boys harrass the girls.. But when the time of girls come they admitted them in a local school and even the teacher's or any person of the school is harrass them then the society say that the fault is in the girls why they wear that dresses which attracted the boys.. even the uniform is such type but they only have to wear full dresses.. 5. Akbar's Rajput policy was important to understand because it consolidated the Mughal empire and provided a solid foundation. Akbar gave high mansabs to Raja Bharmal, his son, Bhagwan Das and his grandson, Man Singh. After the fall of the fort of Chittor some Rajput states like Bikaner and Jaisalmer voluntarily accepted the suzerainty of Akbar while some of them entered into matrimonial alliances with him.

Observation: You will find that to one hand ,the water feels hot and to the other it feels cold. Conclusion: This is because the hand that was in ice cold water has become cold, and when it was placed in water at room temperature, it felt that the water is warm, relative to earlier experience of ice cold water. Similarly the hand that was first in hot water will feel the water at room temperature to be relatively cold. So, we see that the terms hot and cold are only relative terms. There must always be a reference body with respect to which we can say a given body is hot or cold. Therefore, it is important that we use an instrument, rather than our own judgement, to measure temperature. ?

Probability is a measure of the likelihood of an event to occur. Many events cannot be predicted with total certainty. We can predict only the chance of an event to occur i.e. how likely they are to happen, using it. Probability can range in between 0 to 1, where 0 means the event to be an impossible one and 1 indicates a certain event. Probability for class 10 is an important topic for the students which explains all the basic concepts of this topic. The probability of all the events in a sample space sums up to 1.
