The air in the soil is necessary to have different locations of biological events. Plants absorb air through their roots; that is, they breathe through them, absorb oxygen, and release carbon dioxide. It is the opposite of the photosynthesis process, in which the leaf absorbs carbon dioxide and releases oxygen, which is necessary for plant cells. Underwater plants like rice actually have air pockets at their roots to be able to breathe.
The air in the soil also allows microorganisms that break down organic matter to live and reproduce. This turns the organic waste into smaller particles, which can benefit the growing plant because the organic matter releases nutrients into the soil.

When converting from smaller(m/s) to larger(km/hr),use the larger ratio i.e. 18/5.
50 m/sec × 18/5 = (50 ×18)/5 = 900/5 = 180 km /hr

distance = 720 km = 720 × 1000 = 720000
time = 5 hrs = 18000 second
Speed = distance /time =720000/18000 = 40 m/sec

The Chola dynasty was in power from the latter half of the 9th century to the beginning of the 13th century. It was at its peak during the medieval period. Vijayalaya an ancient chiefly family of the Cholas captured the Kaveri delta from the Muttaraiyars. He built a temple devoted to goddess Nishumbhasudini at Thanjavur and made it his capital. Gradually, the kingdom grew in size with conquering the neighbouring regions of Pandyan and Pallava.

Todar Mal was Akbar’s revenue minister. He carried out a careful survey of crop yields, prices and areas cultivated for a 10-year period i.e. from 1570 to 1580. Based on this data, tax was fixed on each crop in cash. Each province was divided into revenue circles. Each circle had its own schedule of revenue rates for individual crops. This revenue system was called zabt. It was prevalent in the areas where Mughal administrators could survey the land and keep very careful accounts. But it was not possible in provinces; such as Gujarat and Bengal. The zamidars exercised great deal of power in some areas. Their exploitation by Mughal administrators forced them to rebel against it. These revolts collectively by zamindars and peasants challenged the stability of the empire from the end of the 17th century.

After fertilisation has taken place in flower, a zygote is formed which divides several times to form an embryo within the ovule. The ovule develops a tough protective coat around itself and is gradually converted into a seed. The ovary grows rapidly and ripens to form a fruit. Meanwhile, the petals, sepals, stamens, style and stigma gets shriveled and fall off.
