How many litres of water can it hold?
Formula usedCircumference of the base = 2 × π × r
⇒ 176 = 2 × 22/7 × r
⇒ 176 = 44/7 × r
⇒ r = 176 × 7 / 44
⇒ r = 28 cm
Now,
Volume of the right circular cylinder = π × r² × h
★ Substituting the values in the above formula,we get:
= 22/7 × ( 28 )² × 30
= 22/7 × 28 × 28 × 30
⇒ 22 × 4 × 28 × 30
⇒ 73920 cm³
We know,
1000 cm³ = 1 L
⇒ 73920/1000 L
⇒ 73.92 L
Hence, it can hold 73.92 litres of water.
