Surface area of the sphere = $4\pi r^2$
For cylinder
Radius of the base = r
Height = 2r
$\therefore$ Curved surface area of the cylinder = $2\pi rh=2\pi (r)(2r)=4\pi r^2$
Ratio of the areas obtained in (i) and (ii)
$={{surface\ area\ of\ the\ sphere}\over{curved\ surface\ area\ of\ the\ cylinder}}$
$={{4\pi r^2}\over{4\pi r^2}}={1\over1}=1:1$
