<font face ="Times New Roman">Given:
$$\left[ \begin{array}{cc}\rm 3 & 0\\ \rm a-2 & 2 \end{array}\right]$$ = $$\left[ \begin{array}{cc}\rm 3 & 0\\ \rm 1 & 2 \end{array}\right]$$
For this equality condition,
a - 2 = 1
Hence , a = 3
