Find three rational numbers lying between 3/5 and 7/8

Ashutosh Padhy 3 years ago

Here, 3/5 < 7/8. So, let y = 7/8, x = 3/5 & n = 3 Since, d = y - x ÷ n + 1 •7/8 - 3/5 ÷ 3 + 1 => 35-24/40 ÷ 4 => 11/40 ÷4 => 11/160. Now, three rational numbers : •(x+d), (x+2d), (x+3d) => (3/5 + 11/160), (3/5 + 12/160), (3/5 + 13/160) => (96+11/160), (96+12/160), (96+13/160) => 107/160, 108/160, 109/160.
