a+2d+a+7d=7 =>2a+9d=7--------[1] a+6d+a+13d= -3 =>2a+19d= -3 ---------[2] On subtracting 1 and 2, -10d =10 ,therefore d=-1 Now putting the value of d in eq. 1,we get, a=8. Therefore,10th term= a+9d = 8+9(-1) =-1 Since, 10th term = -1.
