$9x^2+6x+1-25y^2$ .......................... $(3x)^2 + (2x3xx1) + (1)^2 -25y^2$ .................................applying Rule $(a+b)^2 = a^2+b^2+2ab$

. $(3x + 1)^2 - (5y)^2$ ........................... . $(3x+1+5y)(3x+1-5y)$ .................................. .... applying Rule $a^2 - b^2 = (a+b) (a-b)$

Ans.

$9x^2+6x+1-25y^2$

$= (3x)^2+(2\times 3x\times 1)+(1)^2-25y^2$ [using $(a+b)^2 = a^2+2ab+b^2$ ]

$= (3x+1)^2-(5y)^2$

$= (3x+1-5y)(3x+1+5y)$ [using $a^2-b^2 = (a+b)(a-b)]$
