Chemical reactions which take place in the presence of light are called photochemical reactions.

Example: Photosynthesis is a chemical reaction in which food is prepared by green plants.

Light is necessary for the reaction to take place.
6CO2 + 6H2O → C6H12O6 + 6O2

Photosynthesis is a photochemical reaction in which the leaves of green plants prepare glucose
