Because cooking oil are unsaturated and kerosene oil are saturated carbon compounds

Kerosene doesnot not decolourise bromine water while cooking oil does cuz cooking oil are unsaturated while kerosene are saturated carbon compound.unstaturated carbon chains are capable of decolourising bromine water while saturated carbon chain cannot decolourise bromine water.
