AD is the median of ∆ABC and E is any point on AD. We have to prove that ar(ABE)=ar(ACE). Proof-since, it is a median of ∆ABC therefore,ar(ABD)=ar(ACD) ---->(1) Again, ED is the median of ∆BEC Therefore, ar(BED)=ar(CED) -------->(2) Therefore, (1)&(2)=>ar(ABC)-ar(BED)=ar(ACD)-ar(CED) =ar(ABE)=ar(ACE)
