    In parallel, voltage remains same and current is divided.Seperate switches apply for each device.If one device gets damaged, other will work properly.

    1. When the electric appliances are connected in parallel then each device get same potential difference also the total effective resistance is reduced.
    2. Separate on/off switches can be applied across each device and if one electrical device is damaged, then other devices continue to work properly.
