Mid point = (x1+x2)/2 ; (y1+y2)/2
1 = (2a+1)/2
2 = 2a+1
2a = 1
a =1/2
2a+ 1 = (4+2b)/2
4a+2 = 4 +2b
4a-2 = 2b
2a-1 = b
1 - 1 =b
b=0

Midpoint of two given points are
{(x1 + x2)/2, (y1 + y2)/2}
According to question,
(2a - 2)/2 = 1
2a - 2 = 2
2a = 4
a = 2
Again, (4 + 2b)/2 = 2a + 1
4 + 2b = 4a + 2
2b = 4 × 2 + 2 - 4
2b = 8 - 2
b = 3
