First CH3OH react with SOCL2 formed chloroalkane then apply finkelstein reaction

By reacting alcohol with SoCl2 it will give CH3Cl and further reacting it with NaI it will give CH3I (swartz reaction)

It is done by reacting CH3OH with HI and HI is formed in this reaction by situ process by reacting KI with H3PO4
