Harsh. Since , e = - d (phi) / dt = 0. Phi = BACos(theta) [constant] B=munot n I [constant] For DC, I = CONSTANT That's why transformer.........................

Because transformer contains inductors and we know that for dc the inductive reactance has infinite value.That's why it cannot work on dc
