Ex- she abuses anyone(habbit) ; The sun rises in the east (regular work); I deal in rice (profession) 2. Universal truth. Ex- Man is mortal 3. In the sense of fixed incoming programme. Ex- we celebrate birthday of Gandhiji tommorrow 4. To tell a story in attractive way. Ex- Shivaji organise at the fort 5. To tell comentry . Ex- Tendulkar balls to Dhoni 6. To make a news effective . Ex- All the streets fill with water

Present indefinite is also called simple present
