Ionic bonds are soluble In water bul covalent are soluble in organic solvents. Ionic bonds conduct electricity in molten state whereas covalent donot . Ionic compounds have high melting and boiling point whereas covalent has low melting and boiling points .

Ionic bond are formed by transfer of 1 or more electrons from one atom to another. While Covelent bond formed by sharing of elections. Ionic bond formed between metals and non metals while Covelent bond formed between the non metals. Ionic bond have high melting point and boiling point while Covelent bond have low melting point and boiling point.

ionic loosing or gaining electrons , high melting and boiling point and always contains metals and non metals covalent sharing electrons, less boiling and melting point and contains non metals

Acha ionic bonds ▪mostly solids.. ▪good conductors of electricity in molten and aquous form ▪soluable in polar solvents like water bt insoluable in organic solvents Covalent bonds ▪mostly liquid or gaseous maybe solid ▪bad conductors of electricity ▪insoluable in water but soluable in organic solvents

Ionic bonds r stronger than covalent ..... ... ionic formed by exchange of ions while covalent by sharing ....... and last is ions r released n conducts electricity while covalent compounds hardly release any ions
