A dye is obtained when aromatic amines react with image069 NCERT Solutions class-12 Chemistry Amines part 1at image070 NCERT Solutions class-12 Chemistry Amines part 1, followed by a reaction with the alkaline solution of 2-naphthol. The dye is usually yellow, red, or orange in colour.
