Following agricultural changes were introduced in the Soviet Union after 1917 are : 1. Large estates of landlords, nobility and farmers were occupied by the government and transformed into collective farms known as kholkoz. 2. These collective farms were transferred to peasants known as kulkas. 3. The profit obtained from the kholkoz was shared equally among the farmers . 4. The agricultural equipments were kept and managed by the owners of the farms. 5. This was known as Stalin's collectivisation . Those who opposed collectivisation were severely punished.
