If equipotential surface r not perpndclr then a force will be exerted & if exerted work has to be done,but in equippotential surface fr moving charge no work is done

Because if it is inclined at some angle then it will have Two component ll and prd. To it and in electrostatics there is no parallel component because charges are at rest and the work done in taking a unit charge from one point to another on euipotential surface will not be equal to 0 if it will have a parallel component because cos0 is 1
