Because force of attraction is very high in solid state and when they are in liquid state they can easily move for exchanging their electron

Darpan Yadav 6 years, 9 months ago

Because in solid state there is a strong force of attraction between the ions, and in molten state there is a low force of attraction which helps in the movement of ions, and hence ionic compounds conduct electricity.
