Bcz....cations r lose of e- due to which effective nuclear charge increase....but anion r the gain if e- due to which effective nuclear charge decrease....so,, anion is bigger than cation
Cations are smaller in size because they are formed by loss of electrons and anions are larger in size because they are formed by the gain of electrons.
