First let 3x as t then differentiate it w.r.to x and put the values in given equation and integrate. Final answer is ( 1/3 log l sec3x l +C )

For the integrand tan(3 x), substitute u = 3 x and du = 3 dx: = 1/3 integral tan(u) du The integral of tan(u) is -log(cos(u)): = -1/3 log(cos(u)) Substitute back for u = 3 x: = -1/3 log(cos(3 x))
