First draw a line segment measuring 5cm Then take compass and take more than half of that line for point A and draw an arc upwards and downwards Similarly take more than half from point be and drank arc upwards and downwords Make sure that the both the arcs are intersecting each other Name the intersection points as X And Y Now join those 2 points with help of a ruler and pencil Therefore you have bisected the line AB
