Ans. Let AB and CD are two wals of room and Ladder is fixed at O.
In Triangle ABO : cos 60 = BO/6
=> 1/2 = BO/6
cross multiply. We get
BO = 3m
In Triangle CDO : cos 45 = DO/6
=> 1/√2 = DO/6
=> DO = 3√2 m
Distance b/w walls = BO + DO = 3 + 3√2 = 3 + 3(1.41) = 3 + 4.23 = 7.23m
