Let (a, b) is given point and pX+qY=r is a given line. Let (c, d) is foot of perpendicular from (a, b) to given line. Now we can find two linear equations in terms of (c, d) . Equation 1- Find slope of line, from this find slope of perpendicular, Equate this slope with slope found from (a, b) and (c, d).
