Given, focal length of objective lens, f0= 144 cm
Focal length of eyepiece, fe = 6 cm
Magnifying power of the telescope in normal adjustment,(i.e. when the final image is formed at {tex}\infty{/tex})
M = {tex}- \frac { f _ { 0 } } { f _ { e } } = - \frac { 144 } { 6 } = - 24{/tex}

Priya Dharshini ? 6 years, 6 months ago

Because of coulomb force..

Yogita Ingle 6 years, 6 months ago

This is due to the coulomb's law ie
{tex}\frac1F=\;\frac1{4\mathrm\pi\in\mathrm o}\frac{q_1q_2}{r^2}{/tex}
This is called coulomb force and it acts along the line joining the particles. If charge 1 and 2 are of same nature ,the force is repulsive otherwise it is attractive.
