2)  During French Revolution artists used female allegory to portray ideas of Liberty, Justice and Republic. These ideals were represented through specific objects or symbols.
3)  For example, the attributes of Liberty are the red cap, or broken chain, while Justice is generally a blindfolded woman carrying a pair of weighing scales.
4)  In India, it was believed that nationalism spreads when people begin to believe that they are all part of a nation. The identity of a nation is most often symbolised in a figure or image.

Under globalisation, particularly after 1990, the farmers in India have been exposed to new challenges.
Despite being an important producer of rice, cotton, rubber, tea, coffee, jute and spices our agricultural products are not able to compete with the developed countries because of the highly subsidised agriculture in those countries.
During the British period cotton belts of India attracted the British and ultimately cotton was exported to Britain as a raw material for their textile industries. Cotton textile industry in Manchester and Liverpool flourished due to the availability of good quality cotton from India.

Money has made transactions easy as it solves the problem of double coincidence of wants by acting as a medium of exchange. Double coincidence of wants implies a situation where two parties agree to sell and buy each others commodities, i.e. what one party desires to sell is exactly what the other party wishes to buy. Money does away with this tedious and complex situation by acting as a medium of exchange that can be used for all commodities. For example, if an ice-cream vendor wants a bicycle but the bicycle manufacturer wants clothes and not ice-creams, then the vendor can use money to obtain the bicycle. He need not adhere to the bicycle manufacturer”™s needs because money acts as the common medium of exchange. Similarly, the bicycle manufacturer can then use the money to buy clothes.
