The overlapping social difference is a state when a particular social difference becomes more powerful than the other. As a result of which people may feel a strong bond to one group and isolated towards other which results in disintegration of the country.
An overlapping difference is a combination of many social differences, in which one difference is the root cause of other social differences. There are instances when people perceive themselves to be belonging to a particular community, race or language that creates a difference between them and others in the society, leading to an economic difference.

Borders roads are constructed and maintained by Borders Road Organization (BRO), Government of India undertaking constructs and maintains roads in the bordering areas of the country.
This organization was established in 1960 for the development of the roads of strategic importance in the northern and north-eastern border areas.
It improves the security because army and arms can be mobilized easily through these roads. It provides easy access to difficult terrain and have helped in the economic development of these areas. Construction of roads adds to the economic development of India.

Salt was chosen as the central formula in civil disobedience moment because it was a commodity that every Indian could relate, be it poor,middle class,rich,dalits or brahman all used salt alike. Gandhi ji wanted to make the people aware about the oppressive policies which in this case was the ban on manufacturing of salt . He had a symbol in salt which had the potential to unite each and every community in India which had been a major shortcoming of the earlier Non-Cooperation Movement.

Taxes on salt have been implemented in India since earliest times. But the tax on salt increased greatly at the time of British rule in India. The British government forced the Indian people to buy the vital mineral salt. The Britishers were exercising a monopoly over the production and marketing of salt and imposed heavy taxes on salt. Therefore, in response to the taxes introduced by the British government on salt M.K Gandhi launched a salt march from March to April 1930. This Salt March call for a widespread involvement of Indian people. Hence, thousands of Indians supported Gandhi from his spiritual retreat near Ahmadabad to the coast of the Arabian Sea. However, the march concluded in the imprisonment of nearly 60,000 people.
This is how salt became an effective tool to resist against the colonial rule.

The Khilafat Movement was started to save the Ottoman Empire and it extended to India against the British power. During the 1st world war, Turkey helped Germany to war against British.The Khilafat Movement expanded to South Asia under the leadership of ali brothers.
*The Khilafat Movement in India got the support of Mahatma Gandhim.Gandhiji advised the Muslim leaders to start non-cooperation with the British to force them to re-establish Khilafat.

in 1920 British imposed a harsh treaty on the Turkish sultan or khilafat.
people got furious about this as they have been about the jalianwala bagh massacre .
also Indian Muslims were keen that khilafa be allowed to control over Muslim sacred places.
as British removed khilafat to control over sacred places khilafat movement was started.

1.No language has been given the status of national language by the Constitution of India.
2.Hindi is the official language.
3.There are 22 other languages which have been given the status of Scheduled Languages.
4.State governments can do their official work in their own language.
5.Central government has not imposed mandatory usage of Hindi on State governments.
