It is true that in situations with high risks, credit might create problems for the borrower, e.g., a small farmer takes a loan to meet the expenses of cultivation, hoping that his harvest would help him to repay the loan. But if his crop fails due to shortage of rain or for any other reason, he will be unable to repay the loan.
In such situations a small farmer has to sell a part of his land to repay the loan. Such cases have high risks because the payment of loan entirely depends on good a crop which in turn depends on good rain. HYV seeds fertilizers, pesticides and other factors. This type of loan pushes the farmer into a debt-trap in the case of crop failure and the position of the farmer becomes worse off than before.

The formal sector credit in India includes loans from banks and cooperatives. RBI supervises their functions of providing loans. These formal sector credits can be made beneficial for poor farmers and workers through the following measures:
- Formal sector credit needs to be expanded in India so as to save people, especially poor farmers and workers from exploitation of the informal sector credit.
- Provide credit at a reasonable rate of interest to fulfil various needs of the people by providing cheap and affordable credit.
- This credit can be distributed equally which helps in benefiting the poor. This can help in promoting agricultural activities and small-scale industries.
- The absence of collateral and documentation with rural borrowers would ease the formalities to obtain credit from the formal sector. Provide flexible loans in terms of timelines, interest rates and procedural requirements to rural borrowers.
- There should be awareness among rural borrowers against the exploitation of informal sector credit facilities. The need to keep them aware regarding the high rate of interest and debt traps of moneylenders.

Power sharing is desirable because of two main reasons. They are
- Prudential reason: It reduces any chances of conflicts between social groups. By avoiding conflicts, political stability and unity of the country can be maintained. Dictatorship of the majority community can be oppressive for the minority and can even wreck the majority community as well.
- Moral reason: Power sharing is the true spirit of democracy. Every section of community has the right to be consulted on how they are to be governed. Governance should be carried out keeping in mind the larger interests of each section of the community.

- Rich peasant communities –like Patidars of Gujarat and the Jatts of Uttar Pradesh- were active in the movement.
- Being producers of cash crops, they were very hard hit by the trade depression and falling prices. For them the fight for swaraj was a struggle against high revenues.
- As their cash income disappeared, they found it impossible to pay the government’s revenue demand. And the refusal of the government to reduce the revenue demand led to widespread resentment.
- Due to this reason rich peasants become enthusiastic supporters of the civil Disobedience Movement.
