There are three different levels of courts in our country. There are several courts at the lower level while there is only one at the apex level. The courts that most people interact with are what are called subordinate or district courts. These are usually at the district or Tehsil level or in towns and they hear many kinds of cases. Each state is divided into districts that are presided over by a District Judge. Each state has a High Court which is the highest court of that state. At the top is the Supreme Court that is located in New Delhi and is presided over by the Chief Justice of India. The decisions made by the Supreme Court are binding on all other courts in India.

(i) The most common expression of communalism lies in our everyday beliefs. These routines involve belief in the superiority of one’s religion above other religions. (ii) A communal wind often leads to a quest for political dominance of one’s own religious community; it can take a form of a desire to create a separate political unit. (iii) Political mobilization based on religion is another form of communalism. This involves the use of sacred symbols, religious leaders, emotional appeal to bring the followers of one religion together in the political arena. (iv) Sometimes, communalism takes its most ugly form of violence, riots, and massacres. India and Pakistan suffered some of the worst communal riots at the time of partition.Read more on Sarthaks.com - https://www.sarthaks.com/37361/how-does-communalism-threaten-the-indian-democracy-explain

(i) In a democracy, power is also shared among different political parties, pressure groups and movements.
(ii) Democracy provides the citizens a choice to choose their rulers. This choice is provided by the various political parties, who contest elections to win them. Such competition ensures that power does not remain in one hand.
(iii) In the long run, power is shared among different political parties that represent different ideologies and social groups. Sometimes, this kind of sharing can be direct, when two or more parties form an alliance to contest elections. If their alliance is elected, they form a coalition government and thus, share power.
(iv) In a democracy, various pressure groups and movements also remain active. They also have a share in governmental power, either through participation in governmental committees or having influence on the decision making process.

If we talk about years between 1999-2000 then we find that 32 % of the labour force, in the year 1999-2000, was unemployed. In absolute terms the number of unemployed stood at 26.58 million.Only about 8 % of the total employment is in organised sector. More than 90 % are engaged in informal sector activities, which is, largely outside the reach of any social security benefits and also suffers from many handicaps in form of limited access to institutional facilities and other support facilities.

Prior to the 18 th century there was no British nation. In 1707, the Act of Union between England and Scotland gave rise to the new nation of the United Kingdom of Great Britain. In 1801, Ireland was forced to incorporate with the United Kingdom. The Protestants were helped by the English to establish dominance in the Catholic country of Ireland. They were in favour of the British. The Catholics who rose into revolt against the British dominance failed. The revolt was led by Wolfe Tone and his United Irishmen. A new British nation was formed with dominant English culture, the British Flag ( Union Jack) the National Anthem ( God Save Our Noble King) and the English language.

The alluvial soil consists of various proportions of sand, silt and clay. As we move inlands towards the river valleys, soil particles appear some what bigger in size. In the upper reaches of the river valley i.e. near the place of the break of slope, the soils are coarse. Such soils are more common in piedmont plains such as Duars, Chos and Terai.
Duars are the floodplains and foothills of the eastern Himalayas in North-East India around Bhutan.
Terai is a belt of marshy land at the foot of mountains at the foot of the Himalayas in North India.

The process of transformation of things into resource involves an inter-dependent relationship between nature, technology and institutions.
Human beings interact with nature through technology and create institutions to accelerate the pace of economic development. Human beings are essential components of resources as they transform materials in the environment into resources and use them.
