Non cooperation movement was a mass movement which was launched by Gandhi in 1920. It was a peaceful and a non-violent protest against the British government in India.
Programmes of the Non Cooperation movement were:
- Indians were asked to relinquish their titles and resign from nominated seats in the local bodies as a mark of protest.
- People had to resign from their government jobs.
- People were asked to withdraw their children from government-controlled or aided schools and colleges.
- People had to boycott foreign goods and use only Indian-made goods.
The main aim of the Non Cooperation movement was the demand of 'Swaraj' or the self government.

A shoe manufacturer wants to sell shoes in the market and buy wheat. The shoe manufacturer
will first exchange shoes that he had produced for money, and then exchange the money for wheat. Imagine how difficult it would be if the shoe manufacturer had to directly exchange shoes for wheat without using money. He would have to look for a wheat growing farmer, who not only wants to sell wheat but also wants to buy the shoes in exchange. That is, both parties have to agree to sell and buy each other’s commodities. This is known as double coincidence of wants.
Gaurav Seth 5 years ago
The double coincidence of wants mean that both the parties have to agree to sell and buy each other's commodity i.e. what a person desires to sell is exactly what the other person wishes to buy.

(1) European Governments were driven by the spirit of conservatism after the defeat of Napoleon in 1815.
(2) Conservatives believed that established traditional institutions of state and society-like the monarchy, the church, social hierarchies, property and the family should be preserved.
(3) Most conservatives however did not propose a return to the society of pre-revolutionary days. They realised from the changes initiated by Napoleon that modernisation could, in fact, strengthen traditional institutions like the monarchy.
(4) That would make state powers more effective and strong.
(5) Because a modem and efficient bureucracy, a dynamic economy the abolition of feudalism and serfdom could strengthen the autocratic monarchies of Europe.

Economic activities are the activities which contribute to the flow of goods and services in an economy.
Primary sector, secondary sector and tertiary sector are the different economic sectors
1. Primary sector- It includes those activities which are closely related to man's natural environment. This sector forms the base for all other sectors.
For e.g. gathering, hunting, fishing etc.
2. Secondary sector- It includes the occupations which produce finished goods by using the products of primary sector as raw materials. It is also known as manufacturing sector. For e.g manufacturing of cloth from cotton, sugar from sugarcane etc.
3. Tertiary sector- It helps in the development of primary and secondary sector. This sector, by themselves, do not produce a good, but they are a support for the production process. So it is also known as support sector. For e.g. transport, communication, etc.

The French revolution wars were a series of military conflicts that took place as a result of the French revolution, from the year 1792 to 1802. They are primarily classified into two time periods – the War of First Coalition (1792 - 1797) and the War of Second Coalition (1798 – 1802). Initially confined to the European territories these conflicts expanded to overseas lands as the aspirations of the French republic soared. While popularising the ideals of the French revolution, these wars also succeeded in winning different territories like the Italian peninsula, the low lying countries of Europe and the Louisiana territory in America. These conflicts also lead to the reincarnation of professional armies and the development of ‘Total War’ which categorised all future military conflicts in the world.
