Gas is one of the four fundamental states of matter (the others being solid, liquid, and plasma). A pure gas may be made up of individual atoms (e.g. a noble gas like neon), elemental molecules made from one type of atom (e.g. oxygen), or compound molecules made from a variety of atoms (e.g. carbon dioxide).

Substance that contain hydrogen and neutralize alkalies and has a sour taste are called acid. These are sour in taste and change the colour of blue Litmus to red

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 7 months ago

An acid is any hydrogen-containing substance that is capable of donating a proton (hydrogen ion) to another substance.

Acidic substances are usually identified by their sour taste. An acid is basically a molecule which can donate an H+ ion and can remain energetically favourable after a loss of H+. Acids are known to turn blue litmus red.

Chloroplast posses membranous structures called "Thylakoids membrane" inside it.

Photosynthesis takes place in it because they possess the pigment called "chlorophyll" which traps the light energy and helps in its conversion to other food materials.

The daytime sky is blue because light from the nearby Sun hits molecules in the Earth's atmosphere and scatters off in all directions. The blue color of the sky is a result of this scattering process.

At night, when that part of Earth is facing away from the Sun, space looks black because there is no nearby bright source of light, like the Sun, to be scattered. If you were on the Moon, which has no atmosphere, the sky would be black both night and day.

Space has no atmosphere and thus nothing for the light to become "scattered" on, and so no colors for you to see.

Ferrous chloride is prepared by addition of iron powder to a solution of hydrochloric acid in methanol. This reaction gives the methanol solvate of the dichloride, which upon heating in a vacuum at about 160 °C converts to anhydrous FeCl2. The most common use of ferric chloride is in solution. When dissolved it forms a light brown aqueous solution with a faint hydrochloric acid odor. It is highly corrosive to most metals and probably corrosive to tissue. It is noncombustible and primarily used in sewage treatment and water purification.

In physics, a sign convention is a choice of the physical significance of signs (plus or minus) for a set of quantities, in a case where the choice of sign is arbitrary. Sometimes, the term "sign convention" is used more broadly to include factors of i and 2π, rather than just choices of sign.
