We consider light rays from infinity parallel because they are parallel. ... As the intersection point is pushed further away, the lines become more parallel. The object at infinity means distant object. The rays falling on the lens from an object at infinity are parallel to principal axis. Object at infinity is a fancy way of saying that all the light rays coming from the object are parallel(almost) to each other. (Which is practically impossible because the object will emit or reflect light in all possible direction).

An ammeter should be connected in the circuit in series with the resistors. To measure the potential difference across the resistor it should be connected in parallel, as shown in the following figure
The resistances are connected in series.
Ohm’s law can be used to obtain the readings of ammeter and voltmeter. According to Ohm’s law,
V = IR,
Where,
Potential difference, V = 6 V
Current flowing through the circuit/resistors = I
Resistance of the circuit, R = 5 + 8 + 12 = 25ohm
I = V/R = 6/25 = 0.24 A
Potential difference across 12ohm resistor = V1
Current flowing through the 12ohm resistor, I = 0.24 A
Therefore, using Ohm’s law, we obtain
V1 = IR = 0.24 x 12 = 2.88 V
Therefore, the reading of the ammeter will be 0.24 A.
The reading of the voltmeter will be 2.88 V.

Resistance , R = 26Ω
Length of wire , L = 1m
diameter of circular part of wire ,d = 0.3mm = 0.3 × 10⁻³m
so, base area of wire , A = πr² = πd²/4 [ ∵d = 2r]
= 3.14 × (0.3 × 10⁻³)²/4m²
= 3.14 × 9 × 10⁻⁸/4 m²
= 28.26/4 × 10⁻⁸ m² = 7.06 × 10⁻⁸ m²
Now, use formula,
R = ρL/A
Here, R is the resistance, ρ is the resistivity , L is the length of wire and A is the base area of it .
So , ρ = RA/L = 26Ω × 7.06 × 10⁻⁸m²/1m
ρ = 1.8356 × 10⁻⁶ Ωm
Hence, resistivity is 1.8356 × 10⁻⁶ Ωm at 20°C

Nephrons are the microscopic structural and functional unit of the kidney. Nephrons are composed of a renal corpuscle and a renal tubule. The renal corpuscle consists of a tuft of capillaries called a glomerulus and an encompassing Bowman’s capsule.
Structure of a Nephrons:
- Nephrons are the basic filtering units of kidneys.
- Each kidney possesses large number of nephrons, approximately 1-1.5 million.
- The main components of the nephron are glomerulus, Bowman’s capsule, and a long renal tubule.

u= -10 cm
f= 15 cm
We need to find v
We know the formula
1/f = 1/v + 1/u
Therefore, 1/v= 1/f – 1/u
Substituting the known values in the above equation we get,
1/v= 1/15 + 1/10
1/v = (2+3)/30 (lcm)
Hencev=5/30 = 6 cm
v= 6cm

Sodium emits yellow light while potassium gives out violet light. If this light is resolved in a spectroscope, some isolated coloured lines are obtained on the photographic plates separated from each other by dark spaces. This spectrum is called line emission spectrum on line spectrum.

Mammalian systems have evolved to regulate osmotic pressure by managing concentrations of electrolytes found in the three major fluids: blood plasma, extracellular fluid, and intracellular fluid. Water movement due to osmotic pressure across membranes may change the volume of these fluid compartments

The purpose of the organs of the male reproductive system is to perform the following functions:
To produce, maintain, and transport sperm (the male reproductive cells) and protective fluid (semen)
To discharge sperm within the female reproductive tract during ***
To produce and secrete male *** hormones responsible for maintaining the male reproductive system.
Testicles (testes): These are oval organs about the size of large olives that lie in the *******, secured at either end by a structure called the spermatic cord. Most men have two testes. The testes are responsible for making testosterone, the primary male *** hormone, and for generating sperm.

Thermal decomposition reaction (Thermolysis)
- Decomposition of calcium carbonate:Calcium carbonate (lime stone) decomposes into calcium oxide (quick lime) and carbon dioxide when heated. Quick lime is the major constituent of cement.

Electrolytic decomposition reaction (Electrolysis)
Electrolytic decomposition may result when electric current is passed through an aqueous solution of a compound. A good example is the electrolysis of water.

Photo decomposition reaction (Photolysis)
- Decomposition of silver chloride:Place a small quantity of silver chloride (AgCl) taken in a watch glass under sunlight for some time. The crystals slowly acquire a grey colour. On analysis, it is found that the sunlight has caused decomposition of silver chloride into silver and chlorine.

Decomposition of hydrogen peroxide: In the presence of light, hydrogen peroxide decomposes into water and oxygen

When the temperature of the heater becomes greater than the temperature of the surrounding, some of the heat is lost to the surroundings in the form of thermal radiations.
After some time, rate at which heat is being produced becomes equal to the rate of which heat is lost. Hence, the temperature of the element becomes constant.

Fish's heart is called as 'venous heart' because heart receives blood from veins and send it to the gills for oxygenation. There is only one circulation of blood as the heart is two-chambered. There are veins as well as arteries in the fishes.

Birds and mammals are warm-blooded animals and maintain a constant body temperature by cooling themselves when they are in a hotter environment and vice versa. So, for respiration to carry out, more eoxygen is required. So, an efficient system of heart is required to separate the oxygenated and deoxygenated blood to carry out proper functioning of the circulatory system which in turn is linked to respiratory system too. So, the four chambered heart is an efficient design that allows to send "dirty" blood to the the lungs-and "clean" blood to the rest of the body without having to mix the two.
