AP ; 3, 6 .....
So, a = 3 and d= 6 -3 = 6
Sn = n/2 [2a + (n-1) d]
= 8/2 [2(3) + (8 - 1) 3
Sn = 4 [6 + 21]
= 4 ( 27)
= 108

We will take a right circular cone and remove a portion of it. There are so many ways in which we can do this. But one particular case that we are interested in is the removal of a smaller right circular cone by cutting the given cone by a plane parallel to its base. You must have observed that the glasses, used for drinking water, are of this shape. This remaining portion of cone is called Frustum of a cone.

We applied Euclid Division algorithm on n and 3.
a = bq +r on putting a = n and b = 3
n = 3q +r , 0<r<3
i.e n = 3q -------- (1),
n = 3q +1 --------- (2),
n = 3q +2 -----------(3)
n = 3q is divisible by 3
or n +2 = 3q +1+2 = 3q +3 also divisible by 3
or n +4 = 3q + 2 +4 = 3q + 6 is also divisible by 3
Hence n, n+2 , n+4 are divisible by 3.

2x + 6xy - 14 = 0
2 ( x + 3xy - 7) = 0
x + 3xy - 7 = 0
x ( 1+ 3y) = 7

The given equations is
x+3y=6.......(i)
2x-3y=12....(ii)
Now, from equation (i)
If x= 0, then
0+3y=6
3y=6
y=6/3
y=2
(x,y) =(0,2)...(I)
and when y=0 , then
x+0=6
x=6
(x,y) =(6,0)........(II)
Now,
from equation (ii),
If x= 0, then
0-3y=12
y=-4
(x,y)=(0,-4)...............(III)
and
if y=0
2x-0=12
x=6
(x,y) = (6,0)............(IV)
Mark these points (I), (II) , (III) & (IV) on graph as shown below:

thus, x + 3y = 6 intersects y–axis at (0, 2) and
2x – 3y = 12 intersects y–axis at (0, – 4).

Let side of square be 'a'
Area of square is a²
Diagonal of sqare is √{a²+a²}
Or √2a
So diameter of circle is equal to diagonal of sqare.
Then diameter=√2a
Radius(r)=√2a/2
=a/√2
Area of circle=πr²
=π{a/√2}²
=πa²/2
Ratio of area of square and area of circle =
a²:πa²/2
=1:π/2
=2:π
thus the ration is 2:1 and the larger circle is not 4 times the small one.
