In mathematics, the logarithm is the inverse function to exponentiation. That means the logarithm of a given number x is the exponent to which another fixed number, the base b, must be raised, to produce that number x.

When we factorize 4x2-4x+x-1 4x(x-1)+(x-1) to give two zeroes because it is quadratic polynomial

Iron Man 4 years, 8 months ago

As when we factorise it 4x2-4x+x-1 4x(x-1)+1(x-1) x=1,-1/4.

2√3x2 ˗ 5x + √3
 ⇒ 2√3x2 ˗ 2x ˗ 3x+ √3
⇒ 2x (√3x ˗ 1) ˗ √3 (√3x ˗ 1) = 0
 ⇒ (√3x ˗ 1) or (2x − √3) = 0
⇒ (√3x ˗ 1) = 0 or (2x − √3) = 0
⇒ x = 1/ √3 or x = √3/ 2
⇒ x = 1/ √3 × √3 /√3 = √3/ 3 or x = √3/ 2

p(x) = x²-5x-6
-b/a = 5
c/a = -6

p(6) = 0

Let the other zero be "a"

sum of zeros = 6 + a = -b/a

6 + a = 5

a = 5 - 6
   = -1

The other zero is -1

AB= √(9-9)²+(6-0)² = 6
BC= √(-9-9)²+(6-6)² = 18
CD = √(-9+9)²+(0-6)² = 6
DA = √(-9-9)²+(0-0)² = 18
so,it's opposite sides are equal,hence it is rectangle.

Let the point be A(5,−6), B(−1,−4) and P(0,y)

Point P is on y−axis,hence its x co-ordinate is 0.So, it is of the form P(0,y)

Now, we have to find ratio.

Let the ratio be k:1

Hence m1=k,m2=1,x1=5,y1=−6,x2=−1,y2=−4,x=0,y=0

Using sections formula x= (m1x2+m2x1)/m1+m2

⇒0=−k+5/k+1

∴k=5

Again y=(m1y2+m2y1)/m1+m2

=−4k−6/ k+1 = (−20−6)/ 6 for k=5

=−13/3

Hence the coordiantes of point is P(0,−13/3)

The polynomial with degree greater than 2 can also intersect the x - axis at two points. Hence, it need not be a quadratic polynomial.

Sec A = 15/7 Cos A = 1/SecA Therefore CosA = 1/ 15/7 = 7/15
A + B = 90 or A = 90 - B

CosA = Cos(90-B)
7/15 = SinB
CosecB = 1/SinB = 1/ 7/15 = 15/7
