Congruent means being exactly the same. When two line segments have the same length, they are congruent. When two figures have the same shape and size, they are congruent.
These two triangles are congruent. They are exactly the same in every way. They are the same size and the same shape. Their side lengths are the same and that their angle measures are the same.
Sometimes, two figures will be similar. Similar means that the figures have the same shape, but not the same size. Similar figures are not congruent. These two triangles are similar. They are the same shape, but they are not the same size.

Reema being a plant lover decides to open a nursery and she bought a few plants with pots. She wants to place pots in such a way that the number of pots in the first row is 3, in the second row is 5 and in the third row is 7 and so on.a) If Reema wants to place 120 pots in total then the number of rows formed in this arrangement is?
b) Find the difference in number of pots placed in 8th row and 3rd row.
Given :- the number of pots in the first row is 3, in the second row is 5 and in the third row is 7 and so on.
To Find :- a) If Reema wants to place 120 pots in total then the number of rows formed in this arrangement is?
b) Find the difference in number of pots placed in 8th row and 3rd row.
Solution :-
as we can see that, 3 , 5 , 7 ________ form an AP series .
- First term = 3 .
- common difference = 5 - 3 = 2 .
So,
- Sn = (n/2)[2a + (n - 1)d]
- Sn = 120 pots .
then,
→ 120 = (n/2)[2*3 + (n-1)2]
→ 120*2 = n(6 + 2n - 2)
→ 240 = n(4 + 2n)
→ 240 = 2n(2 + n)
→ 120 = n² + 2n
→ n² + 2n - 120 = 0
→ n² + 12n - 10n - 120 = 0
→ n(n + 12) - 10(n + 12) = 0
→ (n + 12)(n - 10) = 0
→ n = (-12) or 10 .
since negative value of n is not Possible.
Therefore, The Number of rows formed is 10. (Ans. a)
Now,
→ Pots in 3rd row = T(3) = a + (3 - 1)2 = 3 + 2*2 = 3 + 4 = 7 pots .
→ Pots in 8th row = T(8) = a + (8 - 1)2 = 3 + 7*2 = 3 + 14 = 17 pots .
Therefore,
→ Required difference = 17 - 7 = 10

The smallest number which when divided by 35, 56 and 91 = LCM(35,56,91)
35=5×7
56=23×7
91=7×13
LCM=23×5×7×13=3640
The smallest number that when divided by 35, 56, 91 leaves a remainder 7 in each case = 3640 + 7 = 3647.

Let 15 + 17√3 is a rational number.
p/q = 15 + 17√3 q is not equal to zero
p and q are integers.
p/q = 15 + 17√3
=> p - 15/q = 17√3
Rational number = Irrational number
This is contridication.
Hence , 15 + 17√3 is an irrational number

As, a1/a2 ≠ b1/b2 is one condition for consistency. Therefore, the pair of equations is consistent.

Rational numbers are the numbers that can be expressed in the form of a ratio (P/Q & Q≠0) and irrational numbers cannot be expressed as a fraction. But both the numbers are real numbers and can be represented in a number line.

let 'a' be any positive integer and b=2
By euclid's division algorithm
a=bq+r 0≤r<b
a=2q+r 0≤r<2
(i.e) r =0,1
r=0 , a=2q+0=> a=2q
r=1, a=2q+1
if a is the form of 2q then 'a' is an even integer and positive odd integer is of the form 2q+1
