Moral/Theme of the story 'His first flight' : 'His first flight' story excellently explains the importance of things like independence, self courage and confidence. Also, it shows the need for motivation to reach our goals. Necessity is the mother of invention, but it sometimes needs an initial spark from outside.

Yes ,a tiger must be allowed to live in it's natural habitat. Because there it can survive well instead of other habitat.Every organisms have to live in it's own environment because it can do their life process well there. It can get all things from it's Environment required for it's survival.

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 2 months ago

'His First Flight' is a parable. The seagulls convey the message of self-confidence, motivation and self-reliance. The mother seagull motivates the young one enough to get him to learn flying. The baby seagull realises the importance of belief and faith. He flaps his wings to learn flying and gain the confidence to be independent. The story conveys 'Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime'. The parable also stresses the importance of family ties and filial support.

Tigers are the most iconic of the big cats. With their gorgeous black-and-orange coats and long, white whiskers, they invoke in many a feeling of wonder and admiration. But though they are adored, they’re also vulnerable to extinction. Around 3,890 wild tigers roam forests and savannas today. Tigers are poached for their parts and lose habitat to human activity every day. WWF’s is committed to Tx2—the global goal of doubling the number of wild tigers by 2022. By working with tiger range countries, we are pushing forward on zero poaching across Asia even as we secure vital tiger landscapes and curb the demand for illegal tiger parts and products.
Yes, God has made all living beings equally and thus, the animals too have the right to freedom.

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 2 months ago

Freedom is the natural instinct of every living being. Everyone loves freedom and does not want to live in confinement. Similarly, the tiger also longed for freedom. He was so fed up being caged that he even ignored the visitors. He took to and fro steps in the cage as if trying to while away the time. The tiger wanted to escape this captivity.
God has made all living beings equally and thus, the animals too have the right to freedom. They should not be caged. It is their right to enjoy their natural habitat i.e. the forest and run freely in the wild. We should, thus, respect their freedom and should not put them in the zoo.

Lencho is the main character of the story “The Letter to God.” He is a poor farmer who is the sole bread-earner of the family. He had faith in God. Lencho lived in a small house which was situated on the crest of a low hill in the valley.  Throughout the morning Lencho sat in his house and waited for the rain to come. He wished for the rain or the shower for his field in which he had grown his crops.  Lencho wrote the letter to God as he thought that he would be the only one to help him in his bad times. He wrote a letter addressing to God to send him 100 pesos so that he and his family can survive in such a difficult situation.

The postman in the story "A Letter to God" was of a very humble and kind in nature. When he saw that a person had written a letter addressing to the God he read the letter and decided to help the innocent person. He very well knew that there is no address of God to which he will deliver Lencho's letter. Hence he decided to not let Lencho's emotions down and help him by contributing money. But after seeing Lencho second letter everyone including the postman felt very sad as he had complained to God about the people working the post office.

Hari singh, knew that his benefactor Anil knew everything but he didn't show him in order to appreciate for his honesty to come back to home and also for returning stolen money. He correctly got about Anil that he very well knew if a juvenile or an adolescent came out of jail they become a hardened criminal which is hard to reform. Any common person in place of him would first try to punish thiefs and then they hand over to police. But Anil didn't do this as he wants him to realise. This also worked as hari singh heart was sinked when Anil gave him 50 rupees as daily employment. Hope u will find this helpful ?

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 2 months ago

Anil succesfully addressed the situation as when he gave Hari Singh the wet note Hari understood that anil must have got to know that Hari had tried to rob him but wasn't saying anything. So even without moving his lips nor his eyes he was able to address the situation to Hari. He was able to tell Hari that he knew.

He can't do anything that behaves a civilised person. He burns the house when owner demands rent from him. He steals money and attacks Jaffers the constable. These negative traits elipsed his brilliance as a scientist. . . ***Finish*** . . Hope this is helpful to you all..?

Yuvika Mourya 5 years, 2 months ago

Griffin was a brilliant scientist as he made a rare drug which vanishes or make human body transparent and he is daring to as he swallowed those drugs in order to test it and also for taking revenge. This shows that on contrary he was a lawless person as he set his landlord's house on fire. He also done an act of theft in London, at theatre. He took all accessories like goggles , fake mustache, specs etc. to cover him in order to become visible He is rude, short tempered and anxious because when Ms.hall asked the reason how could he enter in locked room he was not able to control him and revealed his truth that he is a scientist. These all reasons show that Griffin brilliance as a man of science fades before his darker traits.

Rishika Kundu 5 years, 2 months ago

Griffin misused his scientific discoveries for his selfish evil interest .After quarrel with his landlord he set his house on Fire to seek Revenge but mankind & science should complement each other .science becomes a waste it is not utilised for betterment and welfare of mankind. due to this reason Griffin brilliance as a man of science fades vefore his darker traits.

The excerpt is taken from the biographical account of Harriet Tubman titled, ‘Harriet Tubman, The Moses of Her People’. This is a story of a woman who suffered because of racial discrimination, but she did fight against slavery, helped her family and members of her community to free themselves from the clutches of the perpetrators of their suffering. She was grateful to her friend, Frederick Douglass, who had hidden her, and some runaway slaves more than once in his home in Rochester. Read the passage (a letter to Harriet by Frederick Douglass) given below and answer the questions that follow. "The difference between us is very marked. Most that I have done and suffered in the service of our cause has been in public, and I have received much encouragement at every step of the way. You, on the other hand, have laboured in a private way. I have wrought in the day—you in the night. I have had the applause of the crowd and the satisfaction that comes of being approved by the multitude, while the most you have done witnessed by few trembling, scared, and footsore bondmen and women, whom you have led out of the house of bondage, and whose heartfelt God bless you has been your only reward. The midnight sky and the silent stars have been the witnesses of your devotion to freedom and your heroism." When years later, in her old age, a reporter for the New York Herald Tribune came to interview her one afternoon at her home in Auburn, he wrote that, as he was leaving, Harriet looked towards an orchard nearby and said, "Do you like apples?" On being assured that the young man liked them, she asked, "Did you ever plant any apples?" The writer confessed that he had not. "No" said the old woman, "but somebody else planted them". I liked apples when I was young. And I said, "Someday I’ll plant apples myself for other young folks to eat. And I guess I did." Her apples were the apples of freedom. Harriet Tubman lived to see the harvest. Her home in Auburn, New York, is preserved as a memorial to her planting. (Source: Harriet Tubman: The Moses of Her People, by Langston Hughes) Q.1. What had Harriet done for herself and her community? Q.2. What was the title of the first book written on Harriet Tubman and who wrote it? Q.3. How had Harriet’s life been hard, but dedicated to a cause? Q.4. What comparison had Frederick drawn between his and Harriet’s life? Q.5. Tick the correct answers. Harriet had been grateful to Frederick because: (a) Frederick was her neighbour. ( ) (b) Harriet took financial help from Frederick. ( ) (c) Harriet revolted as a slave and ran away from her master’s house and Frederick gave her shelter. ( ) (d) Frederick hid other slaves in his house whom Harriet had inspired to run away. ( ) Q.6. Tick the correct answer. ‘footsore bondmen and women’ means: (a) Bondaged men and women had to work day and night. ( ) (b) Bondmen and women suffered from foot diseases. ( ) (c) Bondmen and women were bonded labourers. ( ) (d) Bondaged men and women had wounded and tired feet because they ran for days together to safe places from the house of their masters. ( )

Anne was a lovely girl who never had anyone to share her ? with. As she was growing up, she felt that she should also have a friend to whom she could confide and share her feeling. She liked Peter and dreamt of him. She always wanted to be near him. She always kept on finding some excuse to go to his room or try to talk to him. She longed for his company. whenever Peter didn't talk to her, she used to cry a lot and became restless ? . Both of them had a very understanding relationship. Even Peter like her company. They talked on every subject including physical change and ***. They never felt embarassed about it. Their parents objected to their meeting but still they used to meet. They didn't bother much about their parents as they felt them to be to busy. Anne felt herself to be in love with him which shows her maturity while Peter thought her as a friend.

Kirti Deshwal 5 years, 2 months ago

Anne initially thought him to be person with excessive anxiety towards his health, laziness and hypersensitivity. However, later her feelings towards Peter changed when he made a point to express his inner self to her. Later, acc. to anne he was rather a peaceful and tolerant boy. I think it's right
