Fire describes desire The poet says that ice and fire are responsible for the end of world ,how the fire groves like our desire raises Ice symbolizes the coldness and intolerance. The poet favours with those who agree that fire is responsible for end world Ice describes the haterd of one other

Adithya Dev A 4 years, 8 months ago

According to the poet, different people have different ideas on how the world will end. When some say that the world would end in fire, some others say that it would end in ice. Here, the poet equates fire with human desire and ice with hatred. As the poet has tasted both of them, he still favours the idea of FIRE. According to him, fire, which quickly engulfs one's whole life, can cause faster destruction than ICE, which gradually fills one's life with poison.

Ritik Kumar 4 years, 8 months ago

“Some say the world will end in fire, Some say in ice. From what I've tasted of desire I hold with those who favor fire. But if it had to perish twice, I think I know enough of hate To say that for destruction ice Is also great And would suffice.”

Quiet, shy and introvert girl - only girl from Boggins' heights - wore same blue faded sparse dress everyday - sat in one corner of Room 13 where all boys bad at studies, where there was most scuffling of feet, where there was most dirt and mud on the floor, where there was much laughter when something funny is said - her shoes used to be caked with mud. Other children often made fun of her and treated her as an inferior. They always taunted and teased her for the "hundred dresses" flattery she had said once which later appeared to be true.

As a child, Nelson Mandela believed that being free means being able to do a lot of things like running around the fields near his mother's hut, swim in the pleasant stream which ran across his village, roasting Mealies at midnight and riding the broad backs of slow moving bulls. But when he became a student, he felt that the boyhood freedom was just an illusion and real freedom meant not stopped from doing things like read what he loved, stay out at night and go where he wished to. But, as a young man at Johannesburg, Mandela realised that the freedom he yearned for till now was just transitory, it changed over time. Slowly, he came to know about basic honourable freedoms or obligations to be fulfilled during the short span of life - marry, work, have children, earn, succeed and enjoy equality in society.

Actually , the poem fire and ice is a symbolic composition in which fire stands for the desire of a one

Adithya Dev A 4 years, 8 months ago

In the poem "Fire and Ice" by Robert Frost, the poet presents two contrasting ideas - Fire and Ice - as means by which our world will come to an end. Here, the poet equates fire with desire and ice with hatred. Our human desires spread rapidly like FIRE and engulf one's whole life. This in turn affects the people around us and thereby, destroys the world.

No. Lencho seems to be so blind in his faith that he had simply declared the post office employees, who had actually contributed to the money now in Lencho's hand, a bunch of crooks just because of his belief that God would have surely sent him a hundred pesos but the post employees stole thirty pesos from it. This shows us that he is just an UTOPIAN symbol of faith.
