Let us consider the given below figure of a study stable, on which a study lamp is placed. Let us consider the lamp on the table as a point and the table as a plane. From the figure, we can conclude that the table is rectangular in shape, when observed from the top. The table has a short edge and a long edge. Let us measure the distance of the lamp from the shorter edge and the longer edge. Let us assume that the distance of the lamp from the shorter edge is 15 cm and from the longer edge, its 25 cm. Therefore, we can conclude that the position of the lamp on the table can be described in two ways depending on the order of the axes as .

Angle is 40 :60 :80

Prabhat Gupta 4 years, 5 months ago

Let the angles be 2x,3x and 4x...now, sum of angles of a triangle is 180°...it means, 2x+3x+4x=180°...9x=180°...x=180/9, i.e. x=20°...now, all angles: 2x=2×20=40°, 3x=3×20=60°and 4x=4×20=80°...hence, the angles are:-40°, 60° and 80°...hope ut helps

Value of p=3, value of q =-3 Step-by-Step explanation: Given polynomial, Factors of p(x) are x+1 & x-1 According to factor theorem which states that a linear polynomial of form x-a is factor of polynomial p(x) if p(a) = 0 So, we get p(1)= 0 1^4+p(1)^3+2(1)^2-3(1)+q = 0 1+p+2-3+q=0 P+q=0................(1) P(-1)=0 (-1)^4+p(-1)^3+2(-1)^2-(3-1)+q=0 1-p+2+3+q=0 q-p=-6................(2) Add equation (1)&(2)we get 2q=-6 =>q=-3 Put this in equation (1) p+(-3)=0 =>p=3 Therefore, value of p =3 and q=-3.

This is easy, but tricky. Use Pythagoras theorem. Take a point 'p' at a distance of 1 unit from origin in the x axis and 'q' at adistance of 1 unit from origin in the y axis. Join pq.. then length of 'pq' will be √2., by Pythagoras theorem. Measure 'pq' using a compass and taking origin as center, draw an arc cutting x axis at r. Then distance from origin to r will be √2. join 'qr' . By Pythagoras theorem , qr= √3.. Next take √3 distance in x axis and 2 units in y axis .. repeat the above procedure , you will get √7. Finally take √7 units in x axis and 4 units in y axis, repeat the above procedure, you will get √23. Now measure the distance (√23)using compass, taking origin(o) as center draw an arc cutting x axis at m. Distance on will be √23.
