Polynomials are expressions with one or more terms with a non-zero coefficient. A polynomial can have more than one number of terms. In the polynomial, each expression in it is called a term.  Suppose x2 + 5x+2 is polynomial, then the expressions x2, 5x, and 2 are the terms of the polynomial.  Each term of the polynomial has a coefficient. For example, if 2x+1 is the polynomial, then the coefficient of x is 2.

a² + b² + c²  = 83 ------(1)

a + b+ c = 15

On squaring both sides, we get

a² + b² + c²  + 2( ab + bc + ca) = 225

=> 83 + 2 ( ab + bc + ca) = 225

=> 2 ( ab + bc + ca) = 142

=> ab + bc + ca = 71 --------(2)

Now,

a³ + b³ + c³- 3abc = ( a +b + c) (a² + b² + c²  - ab - bc - ca)

= ( 15) [ 83 - (ab + bc + ca)]

= (15)(83-71)

= 15 × 12

= 180

x² + 10x -10

= (-2)2 + 10 (-2) - 10

= 4 - 20 - 10

= 4 - 30

= - 26

Hence x = -2 is not root of polynomial x² + 10x -10

Euclid was known as the “Father of Geometry.” In his book, The Elements, Euclid begins by stating his assumptions to help determine the method of solving a problem. These assumptions were known as the five axioms. An axiom is a statement that is accepted without proof. Euclid's postulates were : Postulate 1 : A straight line may be drawn from any one point to any other point. Postulate 2 :A terminated line can be produced indefinitely. Postulate 3 : A circle can be drawn with any centre and any radius. Postulate 4 : All right angles are equal to one another.

The equation is  x³ - 6x² + 11x - 6

Putting x =1
(1)^3 -6(1)^2+11(1)-6=0
one root is (x-1)
divide whole eqn by (x-1)
(x-1) | x^3 -6x^2 + 11x -6 | X^2 -5x +6
x^3 -x^2
=======
-5x^2 +11x-6
-5x^2+5x
========
6x-6
6x-6
=====
0
so eqn is x^2-5x+6=0
x^2-2x-3x+6=0
(x-2)(x-3)=0
so the roots are 1 ,2,3
