x+y=12 ------Equation 1
Squaring equation 1 on both sides
(x+y)² = 12²-----Equation 2
(a+b)²=a²+2ab+b²
Now comparing (x+y)² with (a+b)² here a=x and b=y
So Equation 2 becomes
(x+y)² = 12²
x²+2xy+y² =12²
x²+y² = 144 - 2xy----Equation 3
But in question its given that xy= 32
So, substituting xy = 32 in equation 3
x²+y² =144-2*32
x²+y² =144-64 = 80.

27x3 + 125z3
= (3x)3 + (5z)3
= (3y +5z){(3y)2 –(3y)(5z) + (5z)2}
= (3y +5z) (9y2 – 15yz + 25z2)

The remainder theorem tells us that for any polynomial f(x) , if you divide it by the binomial x−a , the remainder is equal to the value of f(a) . The factor theorem tells us that if a is a zero of a polynomial f(x) , then (x−a) is a factor of f(x) , and vice-versa. Factor Theorem is a special case of Remainder Theorem. Remainder Theorem states that if polynomial ƒ(x) is divided by a linear binomial of the for (x - a) then the remainder will be ƒ(a). Factor Theorem states that if ƒ(a) = 0 in this case, then the binomial (x - a) is a factor of polynomial ƒ(x). The remainder theorem states that when a polynomial, f(x), is divided by a linear polynomial , x - a, the remainder of that division will be equivalent to f(a).

Six rational numbers between 3 and 4:
1 st no = (3 + 4) / 2 = 7/2
2 nd no = (3 + 7/2) / 2 = 13/4
3 rd no = (3+13/4) / 2 = 25/8
4 th no = (3 + 25/8) / 2 = 49/16
5 th no = (3 + 49/16) / 2 = 97/32
6 th no = (3 + 97/32) / 2 = 193/64

2x2 - 5x + 3 = 2x2 - 2x - 3x + 3
= 2x(x - 1) - 3(x - 1)
= (x - 1)(2x - 3)
Zeroes of a polynomial are 1 and 3/2.
Hence, p can take value either 1 or 3/2.

In mathematics, factor theorem is used as a linking factor and zeros of the polynomial.
If f(x) is a polynomial of degree n ≥ 1 and ‘a’ is any real number, then
- (x-a) is a factor of f(x), if f(a)=0
- Its converse “ if (x-a) is a factor of the polynomial f(x), then f(a)=0”
Factor theorem is commonly used for factoring a polynomial and finding the roots of the polynomial equation. It is a special case of a polynomial remainder theorem.
