1. x/2 – 1/5 = x/3 + ¼

Solution:

x/2 – 1/5 = x/3 + ¼

⇒ x/2 – x/3 = ¼+ 1/5

⇒ (3x – 2x)/6 = (5 + 4)/20

⇒ 3x – 2x = 9/20 × 6

⇒ x = 54/20

⇒ x = 27/10

2. n/2 – 3n/4 + 5n/6 = 21

Solution:

n/2 – 3n/4 + 5n/6 = 21

⇒ (6n – 9n + 10n)/12 = 21

⇒ 7n/12 = 21

⇒ 7n = 21 × 12

⇒ n = 252/7

⇒ n = 36

Given that hall of Length = 20 m, Breadth = 14 m, Height = 6 m.

∴Volume of the hall = length × breadth × height

= 20 × 14 × 6

= 1680 m3

Volume occupied by 1 man = 7m3

Therefore, number of men that can be accommodated = 1680 /7 = 240.

m2 =30 men

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 3 months ago

Answer:

30 men

Step-by-step explanation:

In 12 days 15 men can do the work

In 1 day 12*15 men can do the work

In 6 days 12*15/6 men can do the work

so, in 6 days 30 men can do the work

It is given that a rhombus of perimeter 20 cm and one base angle is the supplement of 130 degree

From the given information we get 1 side of rhombus = 20/4 = 5cm

One angle = 130° therefore the adjacent angle = 180 - 130 = 50°

Drawing of rhombus

Step1: draw a line segment AB of 5 cm

Step 2: Draw  line AX from A making an angle of 130° with AB   and draw a line BY from B making an angleof 50° with AB

Step 3: Mark a point on AX  as D such that AD = 5cm

Step 4: Mark a point on BY  as C such that BC = 5cm

ABCD is arhombus of perimeter 20 cm and one base angle is the supplement of 130 degree

Given that, surface area of cube = 600 cm^2

Let the length of each side of cube be l.

Surface area of cube = 6 (Side)2

600 cm2 = 6 l2

l 2= 100 cm2

l = 10 cm

Thus, the side of the cube is 10 cm.

given,
the area of square is=5184m²
s×s=5184
s²=5184
s=√5184
s=72
according to problem,
l=2x
b=x
we know that,
perimeter of square=perimeter of rectangle
4s=2(l+b)
4×72=2(2x+x)
288=6x
x=288/6
x=48
from problem,
l=2x
=2×48
=96
b=x
=48
therefore length is 96
               breadth is 48
area of rectangle = l × b
                            = 96 × 48
                             =4608 m²

The general form of Pythagorean triplets

Pythagorean triples are a2+b2 = c2 where a, b and c are the three positive integers. These triples are represented as (a,b,c). Here, a is the perpendicular, b is the base and c is the hypotenuse of the right-angled triangle.

As we know 2m, m2+1 and m2−1 from a Pythagorean triplet for any number , m>1
Let us assume 2m=6
Therefore, m =3
And m2+1=32+1=9+1=10
And m2−1=32−1=9−1=8
Test : 62+82=36+64=100=102
Hence the triplet is 6,8, and 10

length = 10cm

breadth = 5cm

height = 3cm

here we have to find the cost of the cardboard required to make the open cuboidal box.

so we will use CSA + 1 base formula.

CSA + 1 base of the cuboidal box = 2h (l + b) + lb

= 2 × 3 (10 + 5) + (10 × 5)

= 6 (15) + 50

= 90 + 50

= 140cm²

now we have to find the cost of cardboard @ of 0.5 rupees (50 Paisa) per cm² = 140 × 0.5

= 70 rupees.

ABCD be the given trapezium in which AB = 20 cm, DC = AE= 10 cm, BC = 13 cm and AD = 13cm.
Through C, draw CE || AD, meeting AB at E.
Draw CF ⊥ AB.
Now, EB = (AB - AE) = (AB - DC)
EB = (20- 10) cm = 10 cm;
CE = AD = 13 cm; AE = DC = 13 cm.
Now, in ∆EBC, we have CE = BC = 13 cm.
It is an isosceles triangle.
Also, CF ⊥ AB
So, F is the midpoint of EB.
Therefore, EF = ¹/₂ × EB = 1/2× 10= 5cm.
Thus, in right-angled ∆CFE, we have CE = 13 cm, EF = 5 cm.
By Pythagoras’ theorem, we have
CF = [√CE² - EF²]
CF = √(13² - 5²)
CF= √169-25= √144 = √12×12
CF= 12cm
Thus, the distance between the parallel sides is 12 cm.
Area of trapezium ABCD = ¹/₂ × (sum of parallel sides) × (distance between them)
Area of trapezium ABCD = ¹/₂ × (20 + 10) × 12 cm²
Area of trapezium ABCD = 1/2×(30)× 12
Area of trapezium ABCD= 30×6 = 180 cm²
Hence, Area of trapezium ABCD= 180 cm²
