Yogita Ingle 4 years, 11 months ago

Let, the length is 4x cm and the breadth is 3x cm

The perimeter of rectangle is 154 cm

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( l + b )

154 = 2 ( 4x + 3x )

154 = 2 ( 7x )

154 = 14x

x = 11

Length = 4x = 4×11 = 44cm

Breadth = 3x = 3×11 =33cm

Let ABCD be the given rhombus with diagonals AC and BD which intersect each other at O such that AC = 8 cm.

Since diagonals of a rhombus bisect each other, we get

Let BO = x and AB = 5 cm   (given).

We know that diagonals of a rhombus cut each other at right angles. So ΔAOB is a right angled triangle.

Using Pythagoras theorem in ΔAOB, we get

x = 3 cm

Thus the length of another diagonal BD is,

BD = 2x = 6 cm.

Therefore the area of the rhombus is given by,

Area of rhombus =

Area(ABCD) =

                    =

                    =

Area of a rhombus is 24 .

Shruti ? 4 years, 11 months ago

A closed figure which is made up of line segment is known as polygon

Yogita Ingle 4 years, 11 months ago

A Polygon is a closed figure made up of line segments (not curves) in a two-dimensional plane. Polygon is the combination of two words, i.e. poly (means many) and gon (means sides).

A minimum of three line segments is required to connect end to end, to make a closed figure. Thus a polygon with a minimum of three sides is known as Triangle and it is also called 3-gon. An n-sided polygon is called n-gon.

There are two ways of finding the area.

1) Dividing the hexagon into 6 equilateral triangles and getting the area of one triangle multiplied by 6.

2) Dividing the hexagon into two trapezium and getting the area of individual trapezium.

First we need the height of the equilateral triangle.

By pythagorean theorem we have :

5^2 - 2.5^2 = 18.75

Square root of 18.75 = 4.330

1) Area of one equilateral triangle :

4.330 × 0.5 × 5 = 10.825

For the six :

6 × 10.825 = 64.95 square centimeters.

2) The area of the trapezium is :

The two parallel sides of the trapezium are 10cm and 5 cm.

The height is 4.30cm

Area :

(10 + 5) /2 × 4.30 = 32.25

We have two trapezium.

2 × 32.28 = 64.5 square centimeter.

We know that, 252 = 625
And, 262 = 676
Now, 676 - 625 = 51
So, there are 51 - 1 = 50 numbers lying between 252 and 262

Shruti ? 4 years, 11 months ago

→ 10 men working for 6 dyas can complete 5 copies of a book → number of copies filled by 10 members in 1 day is 1/6 → work done by 10 numbers on one book is 1/5 → if 8 men work for 4 copies in x days then → work done on one book per one days is 81×41×x1 but work done on one book by one person is same so, 32x=3001 x=9.375 days

CP = 3600000. To gain 10% on whole land, SP = 360000 + 10% of 360000 = Rs. 396000. 1/3 of the land sold on 20% loss. SP of 1/3 land = (360000/3) - 20% of (360000/3) = Rs. 96000. SP of 2/5 of the land = (360000 * 2)/5 + 25% of (360000*2)/5 = Rs. 180000. SP of the remaining land = 396000 - 96000 - 180000 = Rs. 120000. Second Method SP of total agricultural field at a profit of 10% = (360000*110)/100 = Rs. 396000. So, SP of 1/3 of field = (360000/3)*(80/100) = Rs. 96000. SP of 2/5th of the field =(2*360000*125)/(5*100) = Rs. 180000. Hence, SP of the remaining field = Rs. (396000-96000-180000). = Rs. 120000.

Yogita Ingle 4 years, 11 months ago

First Method

CP = 3600000.

To gain 10% on whole land, SP = 360000 + 10% of 360000 = Rs. 396000.

1/3 of the land sold on 20% loss.

SP of 1/3 land = (360000/3) - 20% of (360000/3) = Rs. 96000.

SP of 2/5 of the land = (360000 * 2)/5 + 25% of (360000*2)/5 = Rs. 180000.

SP of the remaining land = 396000 - 96000 - 180000 = Rs. 120000.

Second Method

SP of total agricultural field at a profit of 10% = (360000*110)/100 = Rs. 396000.

So, SP of 1/3 of field = (360000/3)*(80/100) = Rs. 96000.

SP of 2/5th of the field =(2*360000*125)/(5*100) = Rs. 180000.

Hence,

SP of the remaining field = Rs. (396000-96000-180000).

= Rs. 120000.

The S.P. of an article = Rs. 1636.25

The dealer makes a profit = Rs. 96.25

We have the formula to calculate the gain and the gain percentage as:

∴ The cost price of the article is,

= S.P. - Gain

= Rs. 1636.25 - Rs. 96.25

= Rs. 1540

Now,

The gain percentage is,

Thus, his gain percentage is 6.25%.
