When there is a storm, there are heavy winds and these heavy winds pass over the house. They create low pressure.
Now when the high pressure inside the house comes in contact with the low pressure outside the house, it tries to fill it but gets stuck and due to this excessive force of the air pressure, severe damage can be caused to the house if the windows and doors are left open.
