Maya had collected nine facts about Mr. Nath and noted them on a paper. First, they needed to find out Mr. Nath's first name. Other tenants called him strange and unfriendly. He didn’t speak with anyone and lacked manners. He didn't work anywhere and was in his room the whole day. He never got any letter and lived in Room No. 10 as a tenant in Shankar House where the kids and grown-up people were scared of him. He had only a single visitor on Sundays. Ramesh used to get him food from the restaurant downstairs and was paid immediately and got tips too.

Here, present value = ₹112000
rate of depreciation = 15% per annum and n = 3 yr.
{tex}\therefore{/tex} Value after 3 yr = 112000{tex}\left(1-\frac{15}{100}\right)^{3}{/tex}
= {tex}\left[112000 \times\left(\frac{85}{100}\right)^{3}\right]{/tex}
= {tex}\left(112000 \times \frac{17}{20} \times \frac{17}{20} \times \frac{17}{20}\right){/tex}
= (14 {tex}\times{/tex} 17 {tex}\times{/tex} 17 {tex}\times{/tex} 17) = ₹68782
