Plants and animals are needed in a forest to maintain the balance of nature. In a forest plants produce energy which is consumed by herbivorous animals. Herbivorous animals are eaten up by carnivores. Thus all animals and plants are interdependent for their source of nutrition. S.P. = C.P. – Loss
{tex}\therefore{/tex} 13500 = C.P. – 20% of C.P.
{tex}\therefore{/tex} 13500 = C.P. – {tex}\frac{20}{100} \times{/tex} C.P.
{tex}\therefore{/tex} 13500 = C.P. – {tex}\frac{1}{5} \times{/tex} C.P.
{tex}\therefore{/tex} 13500 = {tex}\left(1-\frac{1}{5}\right){/tex} C.P.
{tex}\therefore{/tex} 13500 = {tex}\frac{4}{5}{/tex} C.P.
{tex}\therefore{/tex} C.P. = {tex}\frac{13500 \times 5}{4}{/tex}
{tex}\therefore{/tex} C.P. = 16875
Hence, she bought it at price Rs. 16875.
