Red cabbage indicator is a purple coloured solution that is used to test whether substances are acid or base. Red cabbage that is often found in homes can be used to prepare a solution that acts as pH indicator. The cabbage basically contains a pigment molecule called flavin or anthocyanin that changes colour depending on the acidity of the solution.
Normally, the purple solution turns red in colour when it combines with something acidic and it turns green in colour when it combines with a base. If the substance does not cause the colour to change then it is mostly neutral.

Circumference of circle ={tex}2\pi \: r{/tex}
2πr = 44cm2
so π×r=44/2
π ×r= 22cm
r=22cm×7/22
r=7cm
area of circle= {tex}\pi \: {r}^{2} {/tex}
= 22/7×7×7
{tex}=154cm^2 {/tex}

Perimeter = 140cm
Side = 140 ÷ 4
= 35 cm
Altitude= 2cm
Base= 35cm
Area = Altitude × Base
= 2 × 35
= 70 cm

Let's take out the area of rectangle and triangle.
Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth
=> area of rectangle = 25 × 16 = 400 cm²
And area of triangle = 1/2 × base × height
=> 1/2 × 14 × 12
= 7 × 12
= 84 cm²
Now what we can do for finding the remaining portion's area?
Think what would happen if we subtract the triangle's area from the rectangle's?
We will get the area of remaining portion!
So, area of remaining portion = area of rectangle - area of triangle
=> 400 - 84
= 316 cm²

Electric Circuit
An electric circuit is a path in which electrons (or current) flow.
- If the circuit is incomplete or broken, the current doesn’t flow. This type of circuit is called an Open Circuit.
- If the circuit is complete, the current flows. This type of circuit is called a Closed Circuit.

Lichen is an association between an alga and a fungus, in which the two organisms jointly form a thallus that is distinct from either partner. The fungal partner is known as mycobiont and the algal partner as the phycobiont. Both the partners are benefitted by the association. Such an association is known as symbiosis or mutualism. Lichens can withstand extremes of climate and, thus, are found everywhere ranging from hot deserts to chilly mountains. They can colonize rocks, but are also found growing on fertile soils. The tree trunks on hills are the most common sites of lichen growth. In some places, the growth is so luxuriant that lichens are used as fodder for cattle. But, lichens are most sensitive to air pollution and probably that is the reason they are not found near cities.
